Teen solves centuries-old math problem


BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Feb. 12 (UPI) -- Actress Elizabeth Banks is to be host of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Scientific and Technical Awards in Los Angeles, organizers said.
Banks is to present 15 awards to 45 individual recipients at the Feb. 20 event at the Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills.
The actress's upcoming projects include "The Next Three Days," directed by Paul Haggis and co-starring Russell Crowe, and "The Details" with Tobey Maguire and Laura Linney. Her other film credits include roles in "Definitely, Maybe," "W.," "The 40-Year-Old Virgin," "Seabiscuit," "Catch Me If You Can" and the "Spider-Man" trilogy.
