LOS ANGELES, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Katherine Heigl is to play bounty hunter Stephanie Plum in a big-screen adaptation of the novel "One for the Money," Variety said.
Plum is a character in a popular series of comic mysteries written during the past 16 years by Janet Evanovich.
Heigl is best known for her work on TV's "Grey's Anatomy," and in the films "The Ugly Truth," "27 Dresses" and "Knocked Up."
Columbia Pictures and Lakeshore Entertainment are making "Money," Variety said.
