Critics' Choice Awards tab Streep, Bullock

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Actress Sandra Bullock said it was an honor to share the best actress award at the Critics' Choice Awards with fellow U.S. actress Meryl Streep.

People.com reported Saturday Bullock, 45, was honored at the 15th annual awards program for her performance in "The Blind Side" and Streep, 60, for her role in "Julie and Julia."

"This is an honor," Bullock said Friday of sharing the award with Streep.

Another top winner at the awards show presented by the Broadcast Film Critics Association was "The Hurt Locker," which was named best picture.

"Hurt Locker" director Katherine Bigelow also earned best director honors for the movie about explosive disposal experts in the Iraq war. The win represented the first time a woman has been named best director at the Critics' Choice event.

Meanwhile, best actor honors went to "Crazy Heart" star Jeff Bridges and fellow actor Christoph Waltz won a best supporting actor award for "Inglorious Basterds."

People.com said best supporting actress honors went to Mo'nique for "Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire."
