NEW YORK, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- A New York publishing house said Wednesday it has acquired two new book titles from entertainer Steve Martin, including a children's book with a music CD.

Grand Central Publishing -- the Web site for Hachette Book Group -- told The New York Time in an e-mail plans call for publishing the children's book, "Late for School," in September. The other title, "Woman, One," is to be published in November and will be Martin's first novel since "The Pleasure of My Company."

Martin is best known as a standup comedian and the star of such movies as "The Jerk," "All of Me" and "The Pink Panther." He is a three-time Grammy winner and a recipient of the Kennedy Center Honor and the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.

"Late for School" is based on a song from his 2009 album, "The Crow: New Songs for the 5-String Banjo," which has been nominated a Grammy as best bluegrass album. The book will feature illustrations by C.F. Payne and a CD of the song, the Times reported.
