Teen solves centuries-old math problem

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 12 (UPI) -- "(500) Days of Summer," "Avatar" and "The Hangover" have been nominated for the Writers Guild of America award for best original screenplay, the WGA announced.
Also in the running for the prize are the scripts for "The Hurt Locker" and "A Serious Man."
The nominees for best adapted screenplay are "Crazy Heart," "Julie & Julia," "Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire," "Star Trek" and "Up in the Air."
Nominated for best documentary screenplay are "Against the Tide," "Capitalism: A Love Story," "The Cove," "Earth Days," "Good Hair" and "Soundtrack for a Revolution."
Winners are to be honored at the 2010 Writers Guild Awards to be held Feb. 20 at simultaneous ceremonies in Los Angeles and New York.
