GROTON, Mass., Dec. 31 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Sandra Bullock has been voted the Top Money-Making Star of 2009 in the Quigley Publishing Co.'s 78th annual poll of exhibitors.

Bullock, who starred in "The Blind Side," "The Proposal" and "All About Steve" this year, is the first female to win the movie money-making title since Julia Roberts in 1999.

The Quigley Poll is an annual survey that asks motion picture theater owners and film buyers to vote for the 10 stars they believe generated the most box-office revenue for their theaters during the year. The survey appears annually in Quigley Publishing Company's International Motion Picture Almanac and at www.quigleypublishing.com.

Coming in at No. 2 on the list for 2009 is Johnny Depp, followed by Matt Damon at No. 3, George Clooney at No. 4, Robert Downey Jr. at No. 5, Tom Hanks at No. 6, Meryl Streep at No. 7, Brad Pitt at No. 8, Shia LaBeouf at No. 9 and Denzel Washington at No. 10.

Named by the exhibitors as the stars of tomorrow were Carey Mulligan, who is earning great reviews for her work in "An Education," and Taylor Lautner, one of the stars of the blockbuster, "The Twilight Saga: New Moon."
