LOS ANGELES, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Hollywood's Walt Disney Co. has scrapped plans to make "Wild Hogs 2: Bachelor Ride," a sequel to its 2007 midlife-crisis comedy "Wild Hogs."
The follow-up was expected to reunite the cast from the original, including John Travolta, Tim Allen, Martin Lawrence and William H. Macy.
Variety said the film was slated to start shooting this summer, but the studio canceled it in the wake of the disappointing box-office take of its recent Travolta vehicle "Old Dogs."
"Hogs" is the third planned project Disney has canceled since Rich Ross took over for Dick Cook as Disney Studios chairman. The studio also nixed plans for the Robin Williams-Anna Faris comedy "Wedding Banned," as well as the epic "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea," the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.
