NEW YORK, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Uma Thurman broke up with her fiance, businessman Arpad Busson, two months ago, a source told Usmagazine.com Tuesday.

The former couple announced their engagement last June.

"Uma and Arki are friends," an insider told the magazine, confirming the end of Thurman and Busson's romance, but not offering details about what caused it.

Thurman, who starred in "Pulp Fiction" and "Kill Bill," was previously married to actors Gary Oldman and Ethan Hawke. She and Hawke have two children together.
