LOS ANGELES, Nov. 27 (UPI) -- British-born actor Guy Pearce is to co-star with Nicolas Cage and January Jones in the upcoming thriller "Hungry Rabbit Jumps," sources told Variety.

"The Bank Job" director Roger Donaldson is heading the movie about a man who gets involved in an underground vigilante organization after his wife becomes the victim of a brutal crime.

Variety said Donaldson is to start shooting the picture next week in New Orleans, the city where two homes Cage owned were sold at a foreclosure auction for a total of $4.5 million this month.

Pearce is best known for his roles in "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert," "L.A. Confidential" and "Memento." He also can be seen in the current release "The Road."

Cage's film credits include "Moonstruck," "Con Air," "Leaving Las Vegas" and "National Treasure."
