LONDON, Nov. 25 (UPI) -- Carla Bruni, a singer and model as well as the wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy, confirmed she has landed a role in Woody Allen's upcoming film.

The Guardian newspaper quoted Bruni as saying she "might be hopeless" at acting, but is eager to collaborate with the New York filmmaker after he offered her a role last June.

"Woody Allen kindly asked me not to do a film with anyone else before him," she said, confirming she agreed, but offering no details about the film or the character she would play, the Guardian said.
