HOLLYWOOD, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Hollywood's Paramount Pictures said it will thank the fans who made its low-budget "Paranormal Activity" a hit by noting their names on the DVD of the movie.

The film cost about $15,000 to make and is now on its way to crossing the $100 million earnings mark, the studio said.

Fans who register by Monday at http://www.paranormalactivityproject.com/ will have their names listed in the film's DVD and Blu-ray credits, Paramount said. The DVD and Blu-ray release date for the movie is expected to be announced shortly.

"The success of 'Paranormal Activity' would not have been possible without the million-plus fans who went to the ParanormalMovie.com official Web site and demanded the movie in their home town," Amy Powell, senior vice president of interactive marketing at Paramount Pictures, said in a statement. "They demanded the movie and they got it. So now we are giving them credit where credit is due."

Directed, written and produced by Oren Peli, the thriller stars Katie Featherston and Micah Sloat as a young, middle-class couple who move into what seems like a typical suburban starter home only to become increasingly disturbed by a presence that may or may not be demonic, but is certainly most active in the middle of the night when they are trying to sleep.
