Dakota Fanning crowned homecoming princess

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Film star Dakota Fanning was crowned homecoming princess by her North Hollywood, Calif., high school, witnesses said.

Fanning's movie credits include "I Am Sam," "The Cat in the Hat," "Man On Fire" and "War of the Worlds." She will soon be seen in "The Twilight Saga: New Moon."

Usmagazine.com said the 15-year-old actress and cheerleader was given a tiara and flowers

before she cheered on her Campbell Hall Episcopal High School's Vikings at a football game in Encino last Friday.
