TONY AWARD NOMINEE RECEPTION IN NEW YORK

NEW YORK, Oct. 27 (UPI) -- Meryl Streep, Harvey Keitel, Mandy Patinkin and Lauren Bacall attended a benefit performance of "The Year of Magical Thinking" in New York, organizers said.

The stars were among the more than 1,000 people who gathered to watch Vanessa Redgrave reprise her starring role from the 2007 Broadway play.

The special benefit performance took place at Manhattan's Cathedral of St. John the Divine Monday.

The event raised more than $200,000 for programs run by the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency to provide support to the children of Gaza and southern Israel, organizers said Tuesday.
