Amy Ryan gives birth to first child

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 21 (UPI) -- Amy Ryan's publicist has confirmed the actress gave birth to a daughter in New York.

Born Oct. 15, Georgia Gracie Slovin is the first child for Ryan and her fiance, comedy writer Eric Slovin.

The actress' representative confirmed the baby's birth to Usmagazine.com.

Ryan is best known for her recurring role on the TV sit-com, "The Office," as well as her Oscar-nominated work in the 2007 movie, "Gone Baby Gone."

Slovin is a former writer for "Saturday Night Live."
