Jones: Kutcher unsupportive of my acting

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 14 (UPI) -- January Jones says her ex-boyfriend, U.S. actor and producer Ashton Kutcher, tried to discourage her from pursuing her own acting career.

Jones, a former model, and Kutcher reportedly dated from 1998 to 2001.

Jones now co-stars on the TV series "Mad Men." Kutcher is best known for his work on "That '70s Show" and "Punk'd." He is also married to actress Demi Moore.

"(He) was not supportive of my acting," Jones told GQ magazine. "He was like, 'I don't think you're going to be good at this.'"

"He only has nice things to say now -- if anything, I should thank him," she added. "Because the minute you tell me I can't do something, that's when I'm most motivated."
