LONDON, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- Scottish actor Robbie Coltrane says the adult stars of the Harry Potter film franchise are just as upset as the young actors that the last movie is wrapping up.

Coltrane has played the half-giant Hagrid in six films thus far. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," the seventh and final novel in the series, is being split up into two movie adaptations, the first of which is set for release next year.

"We were all going -- 'Yeah, it's gonna be tough on the kids,'" the BBC quoted Coltrane as telling the Radio Times. "Then eventually we were all saying, 'Yeah, it's gonna be pretty tough for me, too.'"

One thing the actor won't miss about his role is the bushy beard he has to have painstakingly applied by makeup artists.

"It's all horrible. But at the end of the day, they take it off and then two girls come to my trailer with a pot of hot oil, they dissolve the beard, rub my face with oil," he said.

The films co-star Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Michael Gambon, Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, Emma Thompson, Brendan Gleeson and Ralph Fiennes.
