Knightley to star in London play

LONDON, Oct. 9 (UPI) -- British actress Keira Knightley will star in an upcoming London West End production of Moliere's "The Misanthrope."

The BBC said the 24-year-old "Pride & Prejudice" and "Atonement" star will share the stage with Damian Lewis and Tara Fitzgerald when the show starts performances Dec. 17. "The Misanthrope" will mark her West End debut.

Playwright Martin Crimp adapted the play, moving its setting from 17th century Paris to contemporary London. It is slated to run through March 13, the BBC said.
