LONDON, Oct. 11 (UPI) -- British socialite Pippa Middleton has ended her three-year romance with Swiss banker Nico Jackson.

"It was mostly due to geographical issues," a source told Us Weekly.

"They were rarely together since his move [to Switzerland] and it just caused too much strain on their relationship. They still love and respect each other."

Middleton, 32, and Jackson, 37, were rumored to be making wedding plans, but have not been spotted in public together since last month.

Middleton is the sister of British Prince William's wife Kate.
