Drake announces album release date for September 17

Drake has announced the release of new album "Nothing Was the Same" for September 17, but we won't have to wait until the end of the summer for new music from him.

The rapper posted four new tracks on his blog October's Very Own, including "Jodeci Freestyle," featuring J. Cole.

The follow-up to 2011's Grammy-winning album "Take Care" also features two tracks where he contributes guest verses: PartyNextDoor's "Over Here" and "Versace" by Migos reports the Los Angeles Times.

He revealed the album drop date on Twitter:

The trailer for his new album is on RollingStone.com. His North American arena tour is set to start on Sept. 25.
