David Chappelle is coming back as the headliner comedian for Funny or Die's "Oddball Comedy and Curiosity Festival" following an eight year hiatus from the public eye.

"Oddball Comedy and Curiosity Festival" will begin on August 23 in Austin, Texas and will run through 13 cities in five weeks ending in Mountain View, California.

Flight of the Conchords, Demetri Martin and Kristen Schaal will also be featured during the festival.

Chappelle is best known for his comedy skit-show "Chappelle's Show" which ran on Comedy Central from 2003 to 2006. Even though the comedian was signed for a third season, he left midway through its production saying he was burned out.
