Kanye West has been building the hype for new album "Yeezus" for months.

He started with a tour projecting his new music video onto buildings in 66 cities around the world and then had a listening party at Milk Studios in New York City.

The album's release date has been confirmed as June 18, and is anticipated for its genre-bending experiments.

“We didn’t give a [expletive] about what nobody said from the outside looking in. We just wanted to make the best product possible and this is just the beginning of an entire new mentality about how to make music," West said.

West will perform two songs on "Saturday Night Live" from his album, including one he has not yet performed publicly.

The 10-track album is West's sixth studio release, and he says the name of the album is his new name.

"I wanna explain something about the title Yeezus," West said. "Simply put West was my slave name and Yeezus is my god name.”
