Report: 'Twilight' star Kellen Lutz engaged to girlfriend

Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Twilight star Kellen Lutz is reportedly engaged to be married.

Entertainment Tonight reported Thursday that the 32-year-old actor proposed to Juce TV host Brittany Gonzalez 11 months ago after a year of dating.

Gonzalez was spotted wearing her engagement ring during an outing with Lutz Thursday in New York, according to Us Weekly. The couple were overheard discussing their wedding plans with a friend.

"A woman sitting outside having breakfast shouted Kellan's name and he walked over to her with Brittany. She was congratulating them and asked them if they were getting married in New York or L.A.," an onlooker said.

"They walked into the restaurant and when Brittany opened the door I could see her large engagement ring," the source added.

Lutz and Gonzalez have largely kept their relationship quiet, but occasionally gush about each other on social media. Gonzalez penned a sweet message to Lutz in an Instagram post Sept. 8.

"When your reality is better than your dreams ever were," she wrote.

Lutz previously shared a photo with Gonzalez in May.

"#WCW to this beautiful soul @brittanybg <3 Thank you God, for the best Gift ever! I've never known such happiness and it's awesome!" the actor said.

Lutz is known for playing Emmett Cullen in the Twilight movies, and has since appeared in the films Tarzan, The Legend of Hercules and The Expendables 3. He will next star in Guardians of the Tomb with Li Bing Bing.
