Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Comic actor Kevin Hart has apologized to his pregnant wife Eniko Parrish and his children for an unspecified "bad error in judgment" he regrets making.

"Sending so many apologies to my wife & kids. I gotta do better and I will. I'm not perfect and have never claimed to be ...I love you all," Hart wrote on Instagram.

The message accompanied a brief video of him further explaining he feels he has "a target on my back" and knows he did something wrong. He added "there are no excuses" for his behavior, but also said he is determined not to let someone profit off of his mistakes.

"Someone tried to set Kevin up in a failed extortion attempt. As law enforcement is involved, we cannot comment further as it could affect the investigation," Hart's representative told TMZ

The entertainment news website cited unnamed sources as saying a video edited to look like Hart cheated on his wife is currently making the rounds.

Hart denied being unfaithful to Parrish this summer after photos surfaced of the comedian looking cozy with another woman.
