WWE stars The Miz, Maryse expecting first child

Sept. 12 (UPI) -- WWE power couple The Miz and Maryse are expecting their first child.

The Miz, né Michael Mizanin, and Maryse, née Maryse Ouellet, announced on Monday's episode of WWE Raw that the 34-year-old Total Divas star is pregnant.

"I've been thinking long and hard about how we wanted to announce this special news," The Miz told the audience. "We thought about it long and hard, and we thought there's no better place to announce it than the first place that we met. That is here in the WWE, in front of all of you."

"Without further ado, my wife Maryse and I... go ahead, babe," he prompted before Maryse exclaimed, "We're having a baby!"

Fellow WWE wrestlers Eva Marie, Renee Young and Charlotte Flair were among those to offer their congratulations online.

"@Jonathan_Coyle and I could not be happier for both @mikethemiz and @MaryseMizanin on their new little addition," Eva Marie tweeted. "So excited for you guys!"

"So beyond happy for @MaryseMizanin and @mikethemiz !! You guys are gonna be amazing parents!! I hope baby Miz is on Miz tv on day!" Young wrote.

"CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! @MaryseMizanan @mikethemiz so happy for the both of you!!!!" Flair added.

The Miz and Maryse married in the Bahamas in February 2014. Maryse became The Miz's manager in April 2016, and also stars on the E! series Total Divas with Natalya, Naomi, and Nikki and Brie Bella.
