Aug. 1 (UPI) -- Disney has given fans their first look at the upcoming stage production of Frozen: The Musical with a new behind-the-scenes trailer.

Interviews with the creative team behind Frozen: The Musical, including director Michael Grandage, book writer Jennifer Lee, choreographer Rob Ashford and songwriters from the original film, Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, also appear in the trailer.

Notably, the footage promises that the production will feature 21 musical numbers and a story that will appeal to both children and adults.

"For us, what drove us, what inspired us, was the deeper emotions, the more adult themes," Lee says of the slightly more mature story. "Especially with Elsa. We can get inside her head."

Ticket sales and production dates for Frozen: The Musical will be announced at a later date. The show will first have a tryout period at the Beull Theatre in Denver from Aug. 17 to Oct. 1 before heading to Broadway.
