June 19 (UPI) -- Miley Cyrus is calling out Dolce & Gabbana following her brother's runway debut for the Italian fashion house.

The 24-year-old singer criticized the company in an Instagram post Saturday while congratulating 23-year-old brother Braison on his modeling gig.

"I love you Prince Suga Bear and seriously congratulations on your experience! I am so proud of you always.... From Nashville to Italy!" Cyrus captioned a photo of Braison on the runway.

"PS D&G I STRONGLY disagree with your politics.... but I do support your company's effort to celebrate young artists & give them the platform to shine their light for all to see!" she added.

Dolce & Gabbana co-founder Stephano Gabbana, who thanked First Lady Melania Trump for wearing his brand during a trip to Sicily in May, responded to Cyrus' post later in the day.

"We are Italian and we don't care about politics and mostly neither about the American one! We make dresses and if you think about doing politics with a post it's simply ignorant," the 54-year-old designer wrote.

"We don't need your posts of comments so next time please ignore us!! #boycottdolcegabbana," he added.

Braison, an aspiring singer and musician, made his runway debut Saturday during Milan Men's Fashion Week. He signed a contract with Wilhelmina Models at age 18 in 2012, according to Refinery29.
