June 15 (UPI) -- Jessica Simpson was feeling wistful as daughter Maxwell graduated preschool this week.

The 36-year-old designer bemoaned how quickly Maxwell is growing up as she shared photos Wednesday on Twitter from the 5-year-old's preschool graduation ceremony.

"Spread your wings and prepare to fly for you have become a butterfly #kindergartenherewecome," Simpson captioned a picture of her daughter, adding a crying emoji.

"Someone is excited for kindergarten! How do all you moms do it? I need help," she confessed in another post.

Simpson shares Maxwell and 3-year-old son Ace with husband Eric Johnson, whom she married in 2014. She posted a new family photo in May while celebrating her seventh anniversary as a couple with Johnson.

"7 years, 2 kids, and a whole lotta love later #may21 #MAXIDREW #ACEKNUTE," the star wrote at the time.

Simpson denied in an interview with The Ellen DeGeneres Show the same month that she and Johnson are expecting their third child.

"I'm not pregnant on your show," she told host Ellen DeGeneres. "We got an IUD. Nothing's going to get in that uterus."

"I have two beautiful children and I'm not having a third. They're too cute. You really can't top that," the designer explained.
