By Wade Sheridan

May 23 (UPI) -- Video game publisher and developer Ubisoft has released the first teaser trailer for the next entry in their open world first-person shooter series, Far Cry 5.

The clip, released Monday, uses live-action footage as opposed to displaying images or cutscenes from the game to introduce the title's new fictional setting of Hope County located in the state of Montana.

Hope County Locations, featured in the trailer, include a forested valley that is disturbed by an agonizing scream, a serene river with a dead body floating by and a grassy field where a man is seen running for his life before he is shot down.

As the teaser begins to focus on a church with a ringing bell, "Welcome to Hope County" flashes across the screen as a choir sings "Amazing Grace."

The new Montana setting differs from previous locales seen throughout the Far Cry series such as Africa, tropical islands and the mountains of the Himalayas.

Ubisoft notes that more information regarding Far Cry 5 will be announced Friday with the launch of a worldwide announcement trailer.
