Amy Schumer, Ben Hanisch break up after more than a year together

May 17 (UPI) -- Amy Schumer and Ben Hanisch, her boyfriend of almost a year and a half, have broken up, People reports.

"Amy and Ben have ended their relationship after thoughtful consideration and remain friends," a rep for Schumer said in a statement to the magazine.

The pair were together almost a year and a half. News broke of their relationship in January 2016 when the she took him as her date to the White House.

The couple were rumored to have met on dating app Bumble, but the 35-year-old told fans she's "never in [her] life" been on the app.

"#tbt me and my date to the globes #roadmanager," the actress captioned a throwback photo of herself and sister Kim Caramele on Instagram. "My bf will be there too and we did NOT meet on bumble. Great site just not how we met."

The couple traveled to Paris together in September, which Schumer chronicled on Instagram.

Schumer and Hanisch attended the Golden Globes together in March, but he did not accompany her to the premiere of her new movie Snatched on May 10.
