Shannen Doherty says she is finished with chemotherapy on social media

Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Shannen Doherty announced on social media that she is finished with chemotherapy in her ongoing fight against breast cancer.

"Last day of chemo. Exhausted. Now that I'm done with chemo and radiation, the waiting game is here," the former Beverly Hills 90210 star wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of herself staring into the camera while laying on her bed.

"Waiting for test. Waiting to see if I'm clear or not. Waiting for reconstruction. Waiting. I think when one gets cancer, they are always waiting to a certain extent," she continued.

"To those who know... I'm waiting with you. #cancerslayer."

Doherty, 45, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, and announced in August 2016 that the disease has spread to her lymphatic system.

The actress has continued to chronicle her battle on social media, posting a video of herself in January dancing after receiving treatment. "I'm still moving!" she wrote at the time.
