LOS ANGELES, Dec. 6 (UPI) -- Late night host Jimmy Kimmel announced on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday that he and wife Molly McNearey are having another baby.

The news comes after it was revealed he would be hosting the 2017 Academy Awards for the first time.

Kimmel hosted the Emmy Awards in 2012 and 2016 on ABC at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles. He also was the host of the American Music Awards five times and the 2007 ESPYS. This will be his first time hosting the award show.

The late night host told his audience Monday, "So — there's a lot of exciting stuff going on. Congratulations to me. I'm hosting the Oscars and I had sex. Two things as a teenage boy I never thought would be possible."

Kimmel and McNearey are parents to 2-year-old daughter Jane. Kimmel also has two adult children from his first marriage.

In October, the host, who is known for his I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy video prank, also played the joke on daughter Jane for the first time. She was unfazed by the gag and more concerned with the dirt in her candy bag.
