GREEN BAY, Wis., Oct. 26 (UPI) -- Victory escaped Dean Ambrose on Smackdown Live Tuesday in his match against WWE World Champion AJ Styles thanks to the actions of James Ellsworth.

The bout, made by general manager Daniel Bryan, stipulated that if Ambrose won, he would be granted a second match against Styles but with his championship on the line.

The Lunatic Fringe was accompanied to the ring by Ellsworth after the internet sensation pleaded to be present for the match to show support for Ambrose who had helped him defeat Styles twice in previous weeks.

During the grueling back and forth match that seemed to be swaying in Ambrose's favor, Styles attacked Ellsworth with a devastating dropkick. After regaining consciousness, the No Chinned Wonder retaliated in excitement and hit Styles with a superkick that led to the champ winning the match due to interference.

Shocked, Ambrose could not believe what had just happened and sat in the ring as Ellsworth was seen apologizing for his actions.

"I really hope @TheDeanAmbrose knows that I'm very, very, very, sorry #SDLive," Ellsworth wrote on Twitter where he continued to apologize.
