Rihanna's backup dancer Shirlene Quigley found safe

NORTH BERGEN, N.J., Oct. 26 (UPI) -- Celebrity backup dancer Shirlene Quigley was found safe by the North Bergen Police Department after stars like Rihanna and Missy Elliott pleaded for her return.

Quigley was reported missing by her father and was seen boarding a bus in New York City around 1 a.m. on Sunday. Rihanna and Elliott shared photos and videos of Quigley on their Instagram accounts, asking anyone with information to come forward.

The North Bergen Police announced Wednesday night that Quigley had been located and was safe.

"After an extensive search by North Bergen Police Department Detectives in cooperation with the NYPD, we have located the SHIRLENE QUIGLEY," the department shared on Facebook. "She is safe and at a medical facility who's location is undisclosed at this time."

"We are very pleased with this outcome. We want to thank the New York City Police Department for their tremendous amount of cooperation in this matter," the post read.

Elliott took to Instagram to thank those who joined in the search for Quigley.

"Thank u for all of your countless prayers & persistence in getting the word out about @shirlenequigley disappearance," Elliott wrote. "She has been located and is safe and being treated in a undisclosed location thank u God 4 hearing our prayers! We love u @shirlenequigley with all our hearts!"
