Yanic Truesdale says he feels 'privileged' to take part in 'Gilmore Girls' reunion

STUDIO CITY, Calif., Oct. 13 (UPI) -- Yanic Truesdale, who played Lorelei's snobby French coworker Michel on Gilmore Girls, said he is "privileged" to be able to return for the show's revival episodes.

"We felt very privileged and very happy to have a second shot at something special," Truesdale told Entertainment Tonight.

"It's been eight years (since the finale), but I have stayed in contact with Lauren (Graham), with Melissa (McCarthy), with Kelly (Bishop), so it's not like I haven't seen most of these people in a long, long time," he said. "But it really felt like a high school reunion because we were all very young. We're more grown up now."

Michel has changed over the years, too, Truesdale said, adding that fans will get to see a different side of the private character.

"Michel has grown into someone who has a love life, which we've never seen before," Truesdale said. "He would go on dates but it was very vague -- we didn't see anyone or the dates -- so we'll get to know much more about who he is personally.That's the big change for me."

Graham, for her part, recently said that she was getting nervous ahead of the show's premiere on Nov. 25.

"I'm nervous because the expectation is so high," she said.

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life premieres on Netflix next month.
