NEW YORK, Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Sutton Foster stopped by Today to talk about the upcoming third season of her show Younger, and her guest spot on the Gilmore Girls revival, which was written specifically for her.

Foster told hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb, who also make an appearance on Younger's third season, that she "can't wait for people to see it" when it premieres on TV Land on Wednesday.

Foster plays Liza, a 40-year-old divorced mother from New Jersey who pretends to be a 26-year-old Brooklynite in order to land a job in publishing. The third season sees Liza stuck in a potential love triangle with her younger, tattoo artist boyfriend Josh (Nico Tortorella), who knows her real age, and her Upper East Side boss Charles (Peter Hermann), who doesn't.

"Those guys are just," Foster said about Tortorella and Hermann, "I could not be luckier. They're amazing, amazing guys."

"It's a fantastic season," she added. "I can't wait for people to see it."

Foster also gushed about her role in the upcoming revival of Gilmore Girls, which premieres on Netflix in November.

"Gilmore Girls is my favorite show of all time," Foster said. "I was obsessed with it and I worked with the creators on Bunheads and they created this role for me.

"It was a 'pinch me' moment," she said. "From the fan on the couch to being in Stars Hollow."
