LOS ANGELES, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Prince's ex-wife Mayte Garcia has announced a new memoir that will explore her relationship with the late singer.

The book entitled The Most Beautiful, a reference to Prince's 1985 song "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World," will chronicle the couple's marriage, tragic loss of their son in 1996 and subsequent miscarriage according to the BBC.

Publisher Hachette has set the memoir to release in April 2017 in order to mark the one year anniversary of Prince's death.

"Ours was a rare, almost otherworldly connection," Garcia said when announcing the title. "I want to share our love story, and with it the highs and lows - always coming from a loving place, as this man is still part of my family and always will be."

"In The Most Beautiful, Garcia, for the first time, shares the richly detailed and deeply personal story of her life and her relationship with Prince: from their unconventional meeting backstage at a concert (and the long-distance romance that followed), to their fairy-tale wedding (and their groundbreaking artistic partnership), to the devastating loss of their children that ultimately dissolved their romantic relationship for good," Hachette added of the book.
