LOS ANGELES, Aug. 31 (UPI) -- Craig Robinson and Adam Scott are poised to star in Fox's potential new comedy, Ghosted, which is being hailed as a comedic X-Files.

Ghosted centers around skeptic Leroy Wright, played by Robinson, and paranormal expert Max Allison (played by Scott) as they are hired by the Underground Investigative Service to look into unexplained activity in Los Angeles which could ultimately threaten the human race.

Robinson and Scott previously starred together in 2015's Hot Tub Time Machine 2.

Fox nabbed the comedy, which was reportedly in high demand among the networks, from writer and executive producer Tom Gormican, who wrote the screenplay for Zac Efron's That Awkward Moment.
