Britney Spears returns to the VMA stage with steamy performance

NEW YORK, Aug. 29 (UPI) -- Britney Spears returned to the VMA stage in grand fashion Sunday with a steamy performance alongside rapper G-Eazy.

The pop star, who has left her mark with groundbreaking performances on the award show in the past, entered the stage at Madison Square Garden sporting a revealing, yellow sheer bodysuit after she was introduced by Kim Kardashian.

Spears performed her new single with G-Eazy "Make Me..." days after the release of her ninth studio album, Glory.

Things got hot and heavy during the performance as Spears began grinding on G-Eazy and at one point even grabbed his crotch provocatively. The duo also performed G-Eazy's "Me, Myself & I," before Spears ended things with a kiss on the cheek.

"The VMAs don't give you a stage," Spears said in a teaser for the performance, "They give you a story. Some way of taking a fraction of a second and making it live forever. Before you know it -- it's history. Before you know it... it's Britney [expletive].

On Thursday, Spears appeared alongside James Corden for a new edition of his popular Late Late Show segment, Carpool Karaoke.
