LOS ANGELES, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Celebrities are showing their support for Leslie Jones in the wake of her invasive website hack.

Paul Feig, who directed the 48-year-old actress in Ghostbusters, singer Katy Perry and actress Patricia Arquette are among the stars who rallied around Jones after hackers leaked her personal information and several nude photos Wednesday.

"What's happening to @Lesdoggg is an absolute outrage. Alt right, haters, trolls, 'comedians,' whoever the [expletive] you all are, you're just sad," Feig tweeted.

"Do not give your eyeballs to this racist, hate-filled, misogynoir crime. I #StandWithLeslie," Perry added to her 92.1 million Twitter followers.

Jones, who has been the target of racist and sexist backlash since she was confirmed for Ghostbusters in January 2015, took her website offline after the hack. The hackers had posted pictures of her driver's license and passport, in addition to sexually explicit photos.

"FYI sharing stolen intimate photos like @Lessdoggg's is illegal. You are participating in a sex crime," Arquette tweeted.

"This rise of online harassment, racism & sexual harassment is a sign that we have lost empathy. We need to right this course #LostWorld," she added. "The problem here is deviant behavior online is finding allies and normalizing it's self."

Feig had previously voiced his support for Jones following the Ghostbusters premiere in July. The actress temporarily quit Twitter after the premiere due to an outpouring of hateful comments.
