LAGUNA BEACH, Calif., Aug. 1 (UPI) -- Misty Copeland and longtime boyfriend Olu Evans tied the knot Sunday in Laguna Beach, Calif.

Sources told E! News the 33-year-old ballet dancer and Evans married in a "small and intimate" ceremony at the Montage hotel. Copeland's manager later confirmed to Us Weekly that 100 guests were in attendance.

Copeland reportedly looked like an "ethereal goddess" in an Inbal Dror gown and Christian Louboutin shoes. The ballerina had previously told E! she wanted her dress to be elegant but low-fuss.

"I feel like I get to become a fairy princess on stage," she said. "So, for me, I just want to have a simple, as easy-going day as I can have and just not have it be a big show. I just want it to be simple and classy and not feel like I'm in a tutu."

Copeland and Evans have been together for more than 10 years and got engaged in August 2015. The dancer revealed Evans was her first boyfriend in a 2014 interview with Elle and praised her beau for his understanding and support.

"He taught me to communicate in ways I'd never learned before, to not run away from problems, and sit down and think about things critically. And he made me feel like I really did have a bright future as a ballerina," she gushed.

Copeland is a principal dancer at the American Ballet Theatre -- the first African-American ballerina to be named to the position. She will star in Disney's live-action adaptation of The Nutcracker.
