Hayes Grier hospitalized after dirt-bike accident

LOS ANGELES, July 30 (UPI) -- Hayes Grier's publicist has confirmed the popular, social-media personality was hospitalized after a dirt-bike accident this week.

"Hayes suffered a concussion, broken rib, bruised lung, and multiple skin lacerations," the rep told E! News in a statement. "Thankfully, he is OK and currently resting and recovering in the hospital surrounded by his family, where he will remain for the next few days. We can't thank you all enough for the outpouring of prayers and support for Hayes."

"Just got a call on set that said Hayes was in a crash. He's now in the hospital," his brother Nash tweeted to his more than 5 million followers Thursday.

"Damn I hate hearing [expletive] like that on the phone scared me to death," read a subsequent post.

Hayes is a 16-year-old Vine celebrity, who competed on Dancing with the Stars.
