PALM BEACH, Fla., July 26 (UPI) -- Youree Harris, the popular television psychic known as Miss Cleo, has died surrounded by her loved ones after a battle with cancer. She was 53.

Her publicist told TMZ Tuesday that the Los Angeles native had suffered from colon cancer, which spread to her liver and lungs.

She was discharged from a hospital to a Florida hospice last week.

Harris' Miss Cleo character was an iconic fixture on 1990s television where she enthusiastically urged viewers in commercials to "call me now!" for her advice.

Us Weekly noted Harris ended her psychic career in 2003, but she was consulted in recent years for the documentaries Becoming Psychic and Hotline.

Her voice can also be heard as the character Auntie Poulet in the video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
