NEW YORK, July 26 (UPI) -- Anne Rice's latest vampire novel Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis is set for release Nov. 29.

The author announced the news on Instagram Monday.

The globe-trotting, immortal anti-hero Lestat is the star of Rice's previous blockbuster novels Interview with the Vampire, The Vampire Lestat, The Queen of the Damned, The Tale of the Body Thief, Memnoch the Devil and Blood Canticle.

Entertainment Weekly published an excerpt from Rice's upcoming novel in which the narrator -- presumably Lestat -- awakens from a hellish dream about a burning city and asks his mentor Amel -- the powerful vampire he believes also saw the disturbing images -- what it all means.

The new book arrives November 29, 2016!
