WWE ringside physician Dr. Stephen Daquino treated Slater on-site."Heath has a six centimeter laceration above his right eye. It was quite open, right down to the bone. He got 18 sutures and hopefully that will close it up," the doctor said in a statement.

The company posted a black and white video of Slater receiving the stitches on Youtube that highlighted the injury and Slater's toughness.

On Twitter, the Social Outcasts leader gave fans a closer look at the gash writing "What we do isn't Ballet..."

As Slater recovers, the rest of the WWE is preparing for big changes as the upcoming draft is set to take place July 19 on the new and improved Smackdown Live which has moved to Tuesday nights.
