BOZEMAN, Mont., July 18 (UPI) -- Gene Simmons took quite a spill during a Kiss concert in Montana on Saturday. A fan caught the fall on video.

Simmons fell on stage at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse in Bozeman as the band played its closing number, Rock and Roll All Night, Ultimate Class Rock reported.

He was stepping backwards when he fell, hitting the stage hard with his back.

Simmons was wearing his iconic high platform shoes when he took the spill. Simmons got back up quickly with help from the security staff and did not appear hurt, NME News reported.

Simmons, who is typically big on social media, did not relay any news about the fall to his fans.

The Kiss king is known for his famous concert costume, which includes the band's trademark black and white face makeup. And he wears very high platform shoes. The 66-year-old once told Time Magazine the costume keeps him young.

"There may be something intrinsic in the DNA of the band -- we put on the makeup and the platform heels and we are forever young," Gene told the magazine.
