LOS ANGELES, June 29 (UPI) -- Kanye West is expanding his partnership with retail giant Adidas.

The 39-year-old rapper and designer cemented a long-term collaboration with the sportswear company after first teaming with the brand in 2014.

Adidas announced plans for Adidas + Kanye West shoes, clothes, accessories and retail stores in a press release Wednesday. West will work with a dedicated team on the development and creation of the Yeezy-brand products.

"Kanye is a true creator who has the ability to see things others don't," Adidas CMO Eric Liedtke said. "We are excited and honored to build on this partnership, and eagerly look forward to defining the future together."

"With Adidas + Kanye West we are exploring new territories by opening up the sports world to Kanye's creativity," he added. "This is what Adidas has always been about, empowering creators to create the new."

West and Adidas first collaborated on the designer's Yeezy Boost shoes and released the Yeezy season 1 clothing line in 2015. Many questioned West's future with the company after he debuted season 2 without Adidas.

"These past two years Adidas and Yeezy have given a glimpse into our future. This partnership illustrates that anyone with a dream can dream without limitations," the designer said.
