Kylie Jenner surprises Ariana Grande with sold-out lip kits for birthday

LOS ANGELES, June 27 (UPI) -- Kylie Jenner surprised Ariana Grande with a special gift over the weekend.

The 18-year-old reality star sent Grande a set of her sold-out lip kits for the singer's 23rd birthday, as Grande revealed Saturday on Snapchat.

"Happy early birthday to me," the singer wrote. "Thank you Kylie! My [lips] bout to be so happy. Love U."

Grande named Mary Jo K and Candy K as her favorite shades, but said she is "so excited to try the rest." She also shared a clip of her mom, Joan Grande, trying on the dark metallic color Kymajesty.

Jenner launched her lip kits in November and has introduced several new shades since. The kits have proven wildly popular, selling out shortly after each restock.

In addition, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star revealed last week she intends to open brick and mortar stores for Kylie Cosmetics. The teenager shared clips of herself scouting spaces in Los Angeles.

Grande, who turned 23 on Sunday, released her own lipstick shade for MAC Cosmetics in January. The singer was named a spokesmodel for the brand's Viva Glam collection in October.
