Spider-Man swings onto Playstation 4 in new exclusive game at E3 2016

LOS ANGELES, June 14 (UPI) -- A new Spider-Man game exclusive to the Playstation 4 was unveiled Monday during Sony's E3 press conference.

Announced with a stunning trailer that featured the iconic web-head swinging through the streets of New York, the new untitled Spider-Man game is being developed by Playstation veterans Insomniac Games known for developing the Ratchet & Clank series for the console.

Notably, as Spider-Man was seen chasing down bad guys and impressively throwing them out of moving cars, the titular hero sported a new outfit highlighted by a unique, white Spider-Man symbol plastered across his chest.

Made in conjunction with Marvel, the comic book giant commented on the game's announcement noting that together with Sony and Insomniac, they hope to deliver the most fun and immersive Spider-Man experience yet.

"The Marvel Games team is determined to deliver authentic Marvel experiences filled with our magic mix of action, drama, humor, romance, social relevance, and jaw-dropping awesomeness. This all-new Spider-Man game and our partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment and Insomniac is a direct result of our wholehearted dedication to creating the best Marvel games the world has ever seen!" Marvel said in a statement.
