GREEN BAY, Wis., May 31 (UPI) -- John Cena returned to the WWE on Raw Monday after being sidelined by a shoulder injury.

The Cenation leader arrived on the scene in Green Bay, Wis., after missing months of action declaring that he was back and still belonged despite the recent influx of new new talent that has entered the company during his break.

"If the future is indeed upon us, well the face that runs the place says this, the future damn sure must go through me!" Cena said loudly as the audience cheered.

Cena was spotted donning a special pair of shorts during his return featuring the likeness of Ellen DeGeneres following his recent appearance on her show. Given to me by @TheEllenShow for #CenaReturns damn right I'll be wearing em' on #RAW #MemorialDay," he wrote on Twitter alongside a photo of the shorts.

Following his speech, Cena was confronted by newly acquired WWE Superstar AJ Styles who has made a name for himself in the WWE recently after his competitive matches against Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
