NEW YORK, May 31 (UPI) -- The first photos of characters Harry, Ginny and Albus Potter as they will appear in the London stage production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts One and Two were released Tuesday. The portraits showing actors Jamie Parker as Harry Potter, Poppy Miller as his wife Ginny and Sam Clemmett as their son Albus Severus can be viewed at www.harrypottertheplay.com and Pottermore.com.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts One and Two is a play by Jack Thorne, based on an original story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany. Scheduled to premiere in the West End on July 30, the play is set 19 years after the events of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Scholastic will publish in print the special rehearsal edition of the eighth Harry Potter story in the United States and Canada at 12:01 a.m. ET on July 31.
The script ebook will be published by Pottermore simultaneously with the print editions by Scholastic in the United States and Canada, and Little, Brown Book Group in the United Kingdom.
Rowling's seven, best-selling Harry Potter novels were adapted as eight blockbuster movies.
